Stories stick.

That's why some of us (myself included) find it much easier to remember the tales of Timmy buying 28 pineapples and 42 bananas from math class than trying to recall quadratic equations.

Oftentimes, laws and procedures make more sense, and let's face it, are less dry when we learn the details of the people and events that inspired the policies.
​
I also remember names and faces much better when it's, "Jess who trained her dog to juggle," rather than "Jess in the blue shirt."

Storytelling is something that contextualizes every aspect of our lives and connects us with the world. A well-written article has the power to move, inform, and inspire. And I've been writing for the past 10+ years, across newsrooms and nonprofits, to do just that.​
